This Blog post is a little delaying due to fact that I have been full of cold these past couple of weeks!
However, I am the kind of girl that thinks everything happens for a reason (we either learn from our experiences or we get a bit of a truth bomb / gratitude lesson from it) and I honestly do think that being sent the Navy Blue Vintage hat to try out and review was sent to me at exactly the right time - Just as I got a massive cold.
Here's why I think this ...
When we get a cold / flu bug we desperately want and need to be as comfortable as possible right? I don't know about you but my make up routine tends to go out of the window. I don't really work the eyeliner running down my cheeks look so well anyway!
Constant sneezing and nose running tends to make me all over itchy as well so wearing my wig becomes less important to me as I want to be as comfortable as possible but still want to feel warm.
This piece is comfort in a hat!
So, picture this ... there I am, full of cold, comfy clothes on, no makeup, fluffy warm and cosy bed socks and my Navy blue vintage hat. Comfort contentment <3
This pretty headwear is not only soft on the outside but it's also even softer (super soft!) on the inside too thanks to it being lined. You feel instantly warmed and comfortable once you put it on and knot the ties.
Style wise this hat looks amazing teamed up with some skinny jeans and an oversized jumper with either flat pumps or heeled boots.
Had I have been a little less red nosed and less sneezy I definitely would have done my eye makeup soft and neutral with a winged eyeliner and a plum coloured lip.
I have to admit that I didn't get too adventurous with the Navy Blue vintage as it works beautifully by simply knotting the ties to the side of the head. I was really happy with the look and most importantly the comfort of this one. Once tied it stayed where it was - no slipping or sliding around :)
When it comes to wearing headwear out and about I do like to wear a hair grip band underneath my headwear for total security. Both myself, my staff and our customers are in love with these clever little bands! They are an alternative hair / hat wearers essential item I think.
What do you think of the navy blue vintage?
I'd love to hear your styling ideas on this one!
