Well, Christmas has come and gone in its usual whirlwind fashion. No more mulled wine, Christmas parties, or German markets for another year.
For me this year, the festive break involved a trip back to my hometown of Totnes in Devon to visit my family. It also involved an amazing roast beef dinner, lots of games and a shameful amount of over indulgence.
Unfortunately the weather was pants which meant that we couldn’t go out for a nice long walk on Dartmoor as planned to burn off some of the mince pies and sherry. Instead we stayed inside in the dry and cosy warm lounge and watched Christmas films (not a bad compromise!).
In December Sabine sent me the luxury bandana in green lace to try. It is perfectly Christmassy and the lace gives it a totally glam edge. I teamed it with some sparkly earrings and red lips on Christmas Day and felt great. It was comfortable enough to wear for most of the day as it ties at the top - my ears get sore when I wear a headscarf for too long but it definitely helps when I can tighten and loosen the bit covering my ears!
This hat is definitely one to wear with a bit more makeup as it’s a bit fancy to wear with my usual ‘minimal effort’ routine (which doesn’t quite do the hat justice). It is however perfect for wintery evening meals out and drinks with friends on wet, blowy wintery evenings when a wig isn’t really an option.
I hope you’ve all had a wonderful Christmas and best wishes for 2018!
